Caaaamp at Grampians. :) 4 days and 3 nights packed with happy moments.
A massive group of friends (kids and adults) sitting around a crackling campfire in the cold under a breathtaking blanket of stars just laughing, talking, singing worship songs. It was nice.. I got to play with younger kids, I love them. They're so easy to be around and please. Give them a piggyback and they like you already. I got to hang out with teenagers around my age. Talk about nothing important, really. Just enjoying each others' company. I even didn't mind the few words with the parents. They're quite nice people.
The days were filled with food, hikes and soccer; the nights were all truth or dare and funny performances and heaps of chips and skittles!
Speaking of perfomances, when we were split into 3 groups. And I was one of the older ones in mine.. Which meant had to take a leadership role... I hated shouting at people to try to keep them from walking off to do something else. But my motivation was to beat Kendrick's team. Idk why. But I just really didn't want them to win. :) In the end, Megan helped and Denzel was nice. And we improvised most of it at the end anyways. It was a good laugh. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a draw of course. It was kinda expected. But still. There was always that tiny chance that it wouldn't have been.
Did I mention I had to lead worship too? It wasn't the best in the whole world.. But I survived. :)
My feet were cold under 2 layers of socks at night, but that's a low price for what fun I had.
Btw, my new nickname was spoilt rotten because it was what was on one of my shirts. Keisha is now bear. :P

Perspective

Would you rather be protected in your own pleasant fantasy or face the harsh reality of life?
Would you rather be told sweet lies or the bitter truth?
Would you rather be happy but blissfully ignorant or hurt with painful knowledge that you aren't liked?
You see, it's one or the other. You can't have both. It's simple; either be happy in your own little bubble, or have to cope with the unhappy facts of your life. Then again, your bubble is made of your perspective, how you view things. No matter what someone says or does, you'll always believe it to be good. Whereas if you decide to face the unhappy facts, they're not necessarily facts, are they? Again, it's your opinion, I guess. Even if someone says something nice, you'll believe there's another intention behind the obvious words.
So... Is it possible to not have an opinion? And just take things as they are? Without ignorantly believing the best, or being paranoid and seeking the worst? If there is, I obviously don't know how. Or can't learn how. Whichever.
It's all about how you look at things. Erica

Too many thoughts

Hm, I've been huddled up in my own little world these few days. Would someone mind telling me how to stop caring about petty things? Oh and note to my thoughts: Please stop. I'm trying to be optimistic but you're not exactly helping with all your negativeness flowing about in my mind. If I ever get depressed, I'm blaming you. Just thought you should know. By the way, thinking is not necessarily always a good thing. In actual fact, thinking too much is a very bad thing.
Sincerely, The overthinker

Partying Holidays

So,
Holidays have begun! Okay, they started a while ago, but still. :P What have I done so far? Well..
Sunday, we had a trial soccer game. It started out cold, but then got sunny again (as melbourne weather tends to do). Then we bummed at the Sims' house for a couple of ours, which was fun enough. Even though I spent most of it trying to build something with Denzel's neocube..
On Sunday night, it was Kate's b'day partay. At her house. I had thought I was corrupted to the max and there was no further corrupting possible. But noooo, everyone wanted to watch American Pie. Oh. Gosh. It was funny, I guess. In some parts. But other than that, parts of it were just.. Gross. Played Pass the Parcel Dare (idk what it's actually called) and took heaps of photos. All of which I looked... Not good.
Anyways, then Monday was just a stay-home day. Tuesday I was brought to the dentist. Ugh, I totally understand why people hate it..
Wednesday, my friends came over for my birthday party. :) 'Twas fun. We watched Harry Potter and Pretty Woman, none of which we finished.. We rolled sushi for dinner. YUM. Mum cooked SO much food, we had roti canai, sushi, curry, chicken fingers and fried noodles. I kinda felt bad because she was doing so much for me.. But very grateful too. :D We played Cheat! And Jessie was just. Yeah. Try playing with her and you'll see. :P CAKE! and strudel for dessert.
OH and we played Murder in the Dark. It was soo much fun. Thrilling because all the lights were off and once in a while you'd hear one of us scream but you wouldn't know what happened. hehe.
Today, we went to a really nice park with our LifeGroup. Gang up tiggy and the firefox was nice. The day looked kinda bleak in the morning but it cleared up later on and became this really blue-skied, fluffy clouded, sunny day. Like I said, Melbourne weather..
It's been good so far. :)

Bugger Blogspot

OH MY GOSH. I honestly feel like murdering blogspot right now. I mean, it used to have little irritating glitches that annoyed me. But seriously. It has gotten rid of all my 'enters' and paragraphing. So pretty much, every post I have ever posted (and ever will post I guess, until I somehow figure out what's wrong), is just one massive chunk of writing. ONE paragraph. Dude, even I don't want to read it because of the intimidating amount of words. And if I don't really want to read it, who will? Not that many people read my blog anyway, but still. -.- Extremely frustrated, Me.

Jailbreaking-ness

Last night, The Mavis' family, Megan's family and the Sim family came over to our house. Like a gathering because we hadn't had one in a while. It was gonna be all fun and whatever. But you see, Martyn and Kendrick convinced me to let them jailbreak my iPhone. Not a good idea btw, unless you're not 100% sure. Well. They tried. And it didn't work. And my iPhone stopped working completely. I was sliiightly freaking out. Just a tad. Just because it was. well. my iphone and my dad warned me before that I could jailbreak it if I wanted, but there were risks. So instead, we spent the whole night on msn call with Josiah, who is this computer genius friend of Martyn's. He took control of the computer and after switching computers, downloading random programs, we finally fixed it. Well he did. But IT WORKS! But it's not jailbroken. But that's fine. The whole thing took us about 2 hours. Fun. Next time, remind me to think before I let those 2 touch my iPhone. :) Okay. Fine. It wasn't their fault really, I agreed to it. But still. They seemed confident. It worked for theirs! Conclusion? Computers hate, or at least strongly dislike, me. Sigh. I guess I'll live. It's not like I'm gonna become IT professional. Like the guy who invented Facebook. And the one who invented Apple. And the one who invented Windows. But they are kinda rich. Hm. Maybe I'll just marry a computer genius. Actually, scratch that. Because then he would be spending all his time on the computer and not. well. talking to me. Me, who needs someone to listen to or I'll think too much and we all know that me + thinking too much = not good. Did that sentence even make sense? Oh well. Wow. I'm rambling. I think I'll stop now. Haven't rambled about random stuff in a while. I must say it was fun. xP Erica
