Jailbreaking-ness

Last night, The Mavis' family, Megan's family and the Sim family came over to our house. Like a gathering because we hadn't had one in a while. It was gonna be all fun and whatever. But you see, Martyn and Kendrick convinced me to let them jailbreak my iPhone. Not a good idea btw, unless you're not 100% sure. Well. They tried. And it didn't work. And my iPhone stopped working completely. I was sliiightly freaking out. Just a tad. Just because it was. well. my iphone and my dad warned me before that I could jailbreak it if I wanted, but there were risks. So instead, we spent the whole night on msn call with Josiah, who is this computer genius friend of Martyn's. He took control of the computer and after switching computers, downloading random programs, we finally fixed it. Well he did. But IT WORKS! But it's not jailbroken. But that's fine. The whole thing took us about 2 hours. Fun. Next time, remind me to think before I let those 2 touch my iPhone. :) Okay. Fine. It wasn't their fault really, I agreed to it. But still. They seemed confident. It worked for theirs! Conclusion? Computers hate, or at least strongly dislike, me. Sigh. I guess I'll live. It's not like I'm gonna become IT professional. Like the guy who invented Facebook. And the one who invented Apple. And the one who invented Windows. But they are kinda rich. Hm. Maybe I'll just marry a computer genius. Actually, scratch that. Because then he would be spending all his time on the computer and not. well. talking to me. Me, who needs someone to listen to or I'll think too much and we all know that me + thinking too much = not good. Did that sentence even make sense? Oh well. Wow. I'm rambling. I think I'll stop now. Haven't rambled about random stuff in a while. I must say it was fun. xP Erica

Moving on

Hm,
Yesterday we had another BBQ type thing at this park near Mt Waverley with our LifeGroup. It was fun, but I don't know. Something was missing. It's kinda hard to explain...
Erh. Maybe I've just been holding on to the past too much. And I should start moving on. Because I'm sure everyone else has. Relationships change over time. Circumstances change. People change. I guess if you keep looking back, you'll be the one left behind.
But that doesn't mean I can't miss the old times, right? It's so silly. Life is silly. Not to mention unfair. But then I guess if everything was perfect, it wouldn't be life, exactly. More liike. Artificial life? Because it's not real? Lol. Okay, I'm going in over my head right now. So I'll just stop..
I hope people in Japan are coping okay... I pray that people who have lost family members will find peace and be able to move on with their lives, but not forget those who passed away. Does that make sense? o.o
Feeling kinda small and insignificant and immaturely childish.

Over the Long Weekend

So,
Over the long weekend, which was quite a while ago, (yes, I have been neglecting blogging), I was fully booked. Friday, was fuun. Went to Chaddie with Viv, Isabel, Kate, Nicole, Jessie and Vicky. It was Viv's b'day!! yay! And I baked her a marble cake. Even though she said she didn't want one. Well, too bad. xD Isabel wanted it anyway. We were going to watch S** in the City or Get Him to the Greek. Which were both MA15+ movies. I had no idea we were gonna watch them and I reeeeallly didn't want to have to lie. And I even more really did not want to watch Get Him to the Greek. Especially after what Isabel and Nicole were telling me about it... Thanks guys... lol. In the end, I was HAPPY cos we watched Shrek. Not that bad actually. :)
Saturday was busy as usual. Chinese school, then church.
Sunday was the Sim's house warming. Curry, lasagna, pasta, pizza. Jusst the usual yummy food. There was reeeaallly yummy apple pie. ;) Then, we played soccer for like 3 hours. I know, omgsh. I didn't even notice that we played so long. But it was SOO muddy and I got mud everywhere. You could literally see the different colour near my ankles. Kinda like camp actually.
Monday was Jason's B'day. It started alright. But um... I think James pushed a wrong button an Jas got really angry and it was all just... I mean, what do you do when someone's so angry that they don't listen to comfort? Hmm.. I made egg tarts too.
Just an update. Nothing much. o.o

An eventful CNY 2010

CNY 2010.
I shall write about that. Because it was a HAPPY time. CNY always is. First event, my Dad got the wrong date of the Life Group CNY dinner meeting (small church gathering thing). He thought it was a week before. Whoops. Well, we ended up going for delicious Korean food. Which was great.
And then, the next week, on CNY eve (Saturday), we had lunch at Ah Ma's house. I was wearing a skirt, but I really REALLY wanted to go on the trampoline. So, I borrowed one of James' pants and hey, it matched my PINK shirt. LOL. Anyway, the trampoline was SOOOO MUCH FUN. Like seriously, I want one. It's one of those big ones. We did front flips and splits. And well, just good cousin bonding time. I know how cliched it might sound, but it was fun. And there was heaps of FOOD too. Yee Sang (if you know what it is, you are awesome), curry, Tong Sui (translated to sweet water) etc. Mostly Chinese food, but the stuff I liked, I really liked.
And then (Saturday Night), it was the actual Life Group CNY dinner meeting. More food. More Yee Sang. And we played. SingStar!! WHOO. I beat TESSA. MUAHAHHAHA. Okay. I should stop bragging. :P And we watched 'Just Imagine', I think it was just imagine. Or was it 'Can you imagine'? Oh whtever. The name of the movie is irrelevant. And in the last few minutes, I played Mario Kart on Jon's DSI.
Sunday morning, CITYYY. CNY spinning wheel; free pens; free tiger pouches; free fortune cookie; free helium balloons. We met up with Mavis' family and the Sims. We watched the Lion dances, the dragon dances, the loud fire crackers, the muscly dudes banging huge chinese drums, the sword dances etc. Okay, so it wasn't all that exciting. But it was fun. Because Mavis and Gareth's and them were there. But DON'T tell them that. They'll get big heads. What they don't know ain't gonna hurt them. :)
Sunday lunch was at second cousin's house. Thomas' B'day. More food. Sushi this time. SUSHII. And these really addictive nutty thing. And this time, there was DESSERT. Well, b'day cake. Still. It was a white chocolate mud cake. Yum. Watched pros play table tennis. Played a couple of games. Found out about 'The Game' and found a deck of "magic" cards.
On Tuesday, cousins came over to our house. Yeap, another gathering. This time it was cos Uncle Kenny was here. More Yee Sang. More food. More curry. This time, there was Mum's YUMMELICIOUS fried noodles. And heaps of CNY cookies. Like HEAPS. Talked. Ate. Talked. Watched 2 and a Half Men and Big Band Theory. Debated about series. How I Met Your Mother beat all other ones. I voted Friends though. FRIENDS TO THE END. :) Jason owes me Melon Bread. Remind me that.
Fun-filled. Food-filled. Family & Friends-filled.
Always loved CNY,
Erica Tan Lee Hsia. Chinese pride. :P

The Sims

Whoa. I just read my first few posts and they were really lame and childish. Which is actually what my posts are like now. But still, somehow I feel like they aren't totally childish, but they will later on. I guarantee it. And I also found that I said, "Annoying family friends coming over from Malaysia" Well, I take that back. I love em. They are the awesomest childhood friends ever. Okay, so maybe they aren't exactly my age. BUT they are still the best.
All for are really down-to-earth (excluding the amount of electronic games they play) and un-judgemental and just funny. Not to mentions utterly corrupted and random.
Denzel's b'day last weekend,
BBQ!
Soccer didn't help my ankle, but was fun.
