Frog's insides

Warning!: Not suitable for people who have a vivid imagination and images stay in your mind.
Hey,
Yesterday night, I experienced something that I will remmeber for the rest of my life. After dinner at a steamboat restaurant near home, there happened to be a Pasar Malam nearby. So we went to walk around. If you have never been to a Pasar Malam, well, you're missing out. Anyway, we bought heaps of kuihs and paos. Then... We passed this guy who was selling frog meat. There was a cage of live frogs at the side, bcos they were... ugh... fresh. And then... We saw a pile of frogs insides, and a heart was still beating on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The worst part is that that still isn't the experience I will remember for the rest of my life. Even though it is disgusting.
Tessa wanted to wait until someone bought some of the frog's meat. Why, your ask? Well, because she wanted to see the shop owner replace it. So we waited, and soon enough, someone bought it. The shop owner just grabbed a frog and hit it on the head with some kind of stick thing... The frog immediately froze at the impact, like it was paralyzed. We could practically hear the frog's skull crack. He repeated this a few times and weighed the frogs. Next, he took one of the frozen frogs (I refuse to think they die that easily) and picked up a pair of scissors, and snipped the head of, and the limbs... When he put it down, I could bet that I saw one of the frog's legs twitch. AAAAAAAAAAAH. I was screaming in my head. But there was still more... He used this spoon thing to scoop out the frogs insides. I could hear the *SQUELCH* of the intestines... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH. Yet again...
And that is something I hope you don't have to experience in your life. Though you probably will, when you have to dissect a frog in science class. As gross and horrific and disgusting as it was, it was actaully interesting. *shiver*
the image still fresh in my mind,

My Country Roots

Huan Ying Ni! We're in China now! Well, we arrived in China ages ago... I'm just a late blogger. Haha. We went on this Tour, which was not bad. I mean, the hotel was great! I thought it would be much worse... lol. It's good to have low expectations sometimes. Anyway, we've went to heaps of places. The obvious ones: The Great Wall, The Forbidden City, A Panda Zoo and Tiananmen Square. The less obvious ones: A Mongolian Buffet (Food was great!), a Jade Factory, a Silk Factory and The Summer Palace. Actually, they are all pretty obvious... lol. My mum went to this Tea Shop/Factory thing and bargained for 45 minutes... I'm not exaggerating. All for this really expensive tea... Pu Er tea or something. And I've bought heaps of new clothes... My first pair of skinny jeans! As I'm sure your don't know, as a rule, I never NEVER wear skinny jeans. But yea, there's always a first. ANd I also got a pair of really nice shoes and cargo pants. I LOVE my cargo pants. They are awesome! So, yea. Did you know China is freezing? Erica

Classy Lounge

Hi! Guess where I am right now!! In this lounge place in KLIA. We're on our way to China!! And apparently it's gonna be freezing cold. And the toilets are gonna suck. But still, it's cool. Anyway, back to the lounge thing, it's this cool place where you get to go if your bank is Maybank or something. I'm not sure about the banks name, but yea... This place is soo classy. Well, to me at least. haha. There's like a mini buffet and the chairs are really bouncy. For some weird reason everyone starts whispering when they get in here. I think it's the atmosphere. And they have computers! Which is why I'm typing this... And I'm just crossing my fingers really hard that I don't get that stomach ache and nausea I had this morning. Aeroplanes and sickness just don't match. It's like mixing ice cream with steak. Ew. I know. And well, I think you've heard enof of my ramblings so I'll just leave now. Feeling classy, Erica

Home Schweet Home

Hello, I'm back home! Home sweet home in Malaysia. Believe it or not? The night we got home, it was like 10.00 pm. We met up with my aunt and my grandmother. We immediately went for roti canai in a coffee shop nearby. lol. What else would you expect from my family right? hahaha. Then my parent went off to Thailand for a few days and my siblings and I went to stay in my grandmother's house with Ee Ee, then Aunty Nancy's house and then Po Po's house again... lol. We decorated the Christmas Tree! And it looks awesome! Cos we handmade all the decorations... I made 2 angels and 1 snow man!!! It's the only snowman on the tree, i think. Then my parents came back and we met up with church friends. Nicole's family and Kendricks's family. Miss all the little kids sooo much. :) We went to Nicole's house and played soccer like we always used to do. And I can't belive I actually shot a couple of goals. I NEVER shoot ANY! Maybe Australia has done me good. :P But then they went on and on about my accent. Which hasn't relaly changed all that much, has it????? I still say la and mah and everything. Hmph. They were enjoying it oh-so much. I still remember the time when I said 'No la!" at school in Australia and Jessie or Isabel said 'What's no la?" hahahahhahahaha. Yea.. You know what's really weird? This might actually be the BEST holiday ever. Cos I really really extremely superly totally miss everyone in Malaysia. And my majorly BEST holiday is back home in Malaysia... Not going anywhere. Just with my friends and family... Weird... Can't stop smiling, Erica

Best if you're on something soft

Okay, so I'm trying to be a good little girl and update more often. So you must try and be a good little person and act as you're supposed to when I tell you what I;m going to tell you. What you have to do is, make sure you're jaw falls at least a few inches lower, and if you're on a chair you have to fall off it, and if you're on the floor, just fall backwards onto your back, okay?? :) Ehem, *drum roll please* MY SISTER WON A PRIZE FROM DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The prize was kinda lame... It was a bunch of High School Musical Stuff. There was a pretty watch, a photo frame, 4 free tickets to watch High School Musical 3 at the cinemas, a mini basketball, a bandanna thing and finally a photo frame thing that records messages. lol. It's sooo cool cos I remember the day Tessa said, "I feel like entering a competition on Bigpond." LUCKYNESS! And now, omg I can't believe I haven't typed this down... Last Tuesday (Yes, I know it's ages ago...) Destiny Yu Pyn came over to my house!!!!! Cos Malaysia holidays already started and she came to Australia on holiday. It was heaps of fun!!! LOL. I, the sushi making master, taught her how to make sushi. lol. And we had that for dinner. Yum. And we played Wii! Then we went to the park. And then after that, we went to Aunty Wean's house to collect bread. So we walked there got the bread and came back to realize that we forgot to give her the plastic bags... So we walked there again chatting and as we walked back, we were singing... Or at least making up a really random song with really random lyrics... It was soooo, well, random. And we were laughing our heads off... haha. Grinning like an idiot Tommy

Park Party

Heyy, I kno, I haven't updated in like ages...I've been busy-ish. You can't blame me! Anyway, I was gonna tell your about Aunty Clara's B'day. It was funfunfun! Me and my cousins went to the park and we had this heap of food. As usual. As most of you know, everyone in my family is a food person. You can just call us... well... Food people. xD!

List of stuff we ate:

  1. Sushi
  2. Maggi noodles
  3. More sushi (vegetarian)
  4. Curry chicken with yummy rice
  5. Crackers with yummy avacado dip
  6. Nachos
  7. Chips

And like other snacks. It was kinda annoying cos we played a tinsy bit of soccer and as your know, my cousins are like super sporty ppl... And well, I couldn't really get the ball off them... Gah. Oh well. And we went to play at the playground. I LOVE the monkey bars! Cos you can do flips and stuff on them. It's sooo much fun. AND I tried climbing the pole thing you're supposed to slide down. I failed my first few attempts... Leesh managed to though. And then FINALLY I GOT IT!!! And I was like sooo happy. lol.

Then we play... Pepsi Cola! I used to play that game so much in Malaysia. So we taught it to our cousins. And all the girls kinda lost. Cos the guys kept getting our foot. Meh. It was cool though. Next, we played Taboo. Me and Leesh (then Andrew joined us) in a team, and Tessa Jonathan and Steve. In the end my sis's team won. Gah. Oh well. I got over it. lol. And yea... That's it. Hopefully I will find the time to write more. Soon.

XOXO Tommy TimTan (That's my nickname) heehee

Misunderstandings at the Rollerama

Hey people reading, I went to this rollerama place with me friends! It was like awesome. My friends planned it so that it was just after my camp thing... Cos I got back from camp at like 5.00 p.m, right? And then I was supposed to get showered and have eaten dinner before 6.45... Ain't that nice? Rushyness, much? Anyway, so I just ate this burger from Hungry Jacks in the car and my mum brought me to Isabel's house. And it turned out, I was earlier than Viv... Yes, viv was finally coming to one of our 'gang functions'. LOL. Anyway, so there was this whole HUGE GIGANTIC misunderstanding... -.- So, Viv left first with her mum in her car, okay? Then, Isabel's mum told us to wait inside and watch for her car to come out of the garage. And by that time it was raining pretty hard. Isabel and I were waiting inside, watching for the car, but it wasn't coming out. After like 10 minutes of thinking, 'Omg! Where id Isabel's mum?!?! We're gonna be late! I thought Viv was gonna follow Isabel's mum to the Rollerama place! She doesn't know the way!" So, Isabel began panicking... And she was like, "Where is my mum!?!?! We're gonna be LATE! Did she like die in the garage or something?!? DAD!" She called to her dad, who was gonna stay int he house to rest for the night. Next, her dad went to garage and found the car gone... And he was like calling Isabel's mum to ask where she was... It turns out, she thought me and Isabel were in Viv's car... And she left to catch up with us.... SO INSTEAD, we went with Isabel's dad to the Rollerama. And I was like, ' Can't we just wait for Isabel's mum to turn around and come back? She can't have gone that far in 10 minutes... In the end, everyone stopped at Mc Donalds and we went into Isabel's mum's car and Viv left ahead. Bell's mum turned into a little corner and came out again cos she thought Viv's mum was behind and was waiting for her to catch up. Whereas Viv's mum thought we were ahead and began speeding to catch up cos she didn't know the way. When this was all figured out, we caught up at a traffic light and got ahead to Viv's mum could follow us... Yes, I know, you probably have no clue what I'm talking about and think I'm a raving mad person... When it ALL FINALLY worked out, we got there to meet Jessie and Vicky. And had heaps of fun. Heehee... Poor Viv had never tollerbladed in her life before. SHE HASN'T EVEN BEEN ICE-SKATING!!! So, the whole time, we had to try to make her feel confident and actually LET GO OF THE WALL!!!!!! It was all really frustrating... lol. So we had heaps of funfunfun and foodfoodfood. Cos I brought shapes and tried Isabel's famous pineapple juice which was pretty darn good. And Isabel nearly won in one of those games ppl play at the Rollerrama. She got second... She could've gotten a nice big chunck of chocolate from the shop at the side!!! Hmph... So, yea. That's about it. All smiley and laughey, Tom the Timtan. xD
